3rd and last day in SF, before we continue on our roadtrip to Big Sur. So this last day, we will be going to Golden Gate bridge. Drive and park at Fort Point, base of Golden Gate...
Lunch first before hike to the bridge... We already pack sandwiches, fill with Hei-Bee-Hiam goodness. And the birds seems to sense food is around, as they fly in flocks and settle down around us... The small black birds are fast, they attack when your guard is down, and fly off with food in their mouths.
From Fort Point, a short way hike up towards the bridge.
A fort must have some cannons, right... But this is an old and disused Fort, so no active cannons or guns. But we do see old tunnels used previously to house cannons... but it's flooded so cannot go in see.
We reach the information center for the Golden Gate bridge, and lots of people around. Locals walking and biking to the bridge, and buses of Korean and Japanese tourists taking photos of this bridge...
Very windy, and the bridge shakes whenever a big truck moves across on the bridge. It is a great feeling standing on the bridge. No wonder, it is one of the world's greatest bridge... You have to be on the bridge to really appreciate this.
After spending almost 2 hours at Golden Gate bridge, time to leave the bridge behind. But not before we go to Baker Beach and catch a last glimpse...
End up ordering chili crab... hehehe... Yummy
