Today is New Year 2008, first day of 2008... Happy New Year 2008!!!
I pray for world peace... Just joking, hehe... Thats for Ms Universe to work for... School going to start in 2 weeks' time, so little time to enjoy. No time to think for world peace.
Yesterday was eve, and the neighbourhood was filled with fireworks, with the entire neighbourhood firing their own small-scale fireworks... At the count of midnight comes bang, bang, bang, and the sky is filled with fireworks and burnt-smell. It is refreshing to see fireworks, though they don't fly high in the sky, and not as colourful as back home. But it is fireworks, and this is new year's eve :) We drive around the neighbourhood, looking for the best fireworks. And everyone is just enjoying the festival mood... But it is a busy night for the cops and firemen. Cop sirens are heard. A palm tree is caught on fire from the fireworks, and the fire department are called in to put out the fire... That's a busy night!!

New year's day is spent at home, since most of the shops are closed, and we just want to lax around. Besides, there is the Rose Parade, and the Rose Bowl between USC and University of Illinois. So we are couch-potato for the day, witnessing USC trash Illinois 47-10... Go Trojans :)
Anyway, Happy New Year to all, and may all wishes come true...
