Today is Christmas Day, and Sin City, here we come... This is our first roadtrip, and we are excited on driving to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon... Before we go, the news channel reported on wind advisory for I-15 freeway, with wind speed up to 55mph (~80kmph)... That is fast and furious wind, just hope nothing will happen :)
And Murphy's law is always there, the wind is very strong, and our car is being pushed to the next right lane as we are driving. We have to use both hands to correct the drift of the car... Small cars have to drive slower, but big trucks with a larger surface area for the wind to catch on are not so lucky. We see more than 5 trucks being pushed over by the wind, and the highway patrol guys are busy directing traffic, and the remaining trucks are just parked along the curb, hoping the wind will stop soon...
There are just too many roads in USA, that I think they run out of words to name the roads. Just see below for that... How do you pronouns this?
After 5 hours and many pit-stops along the way for gas and restrooms and drive across State of California to State of Nevada, we finally catch signs of Sin City, when we see the sign of Bellagio, we are so happy :) And soon enough, we enter Las Vegas Strip...
This is where we will be staying for the night in Las Vegas, Harrah's... right on the strip... Of course, chop chop check-in and go out enjoy the scenes.
Harrah's...
We have our sushi lunch in Caesar, with sushi and shrimps... Nice but pricey as well. But this is Sin City... what to expect.
This is the real Planet Hollywood Hotel on the strip, with its focus on MTV and music entertainment...
As the night comes in, Las Vegas strip put on a different clothing, as the famous neon lights turns on...
Vegas never sleeps, but we do, so we go up hotel room to rest, and exchange Christmas gifts :) Today is Christmas afterall...
Our room #: 1011. And we have McDonald for dinner... hot fudge sundae still on Winnie's hand.
Our Christmas stockings...
"Dear Santa: Got Treats?" for Brownie &
"Dear Santa: I've Been a Princess" for Winnie...
time to see what is inside :)
After exchanging gifts & well-wishes, time to go out to see the never-stopping Sin City. Now, we go to Fremont Street Experience, a covered-street, full of casinos and entertainment. FSE is famous for its hourly display of lights on its roof, what that means, we should see...
entrance of FSE...
more casinos...
Merry Christmas!!
Fun & Cool night in Las Vegas... Shiok!!
