Toy District

Winnie & Brownie says:

Toy District is where you will find toys for kids, so this is where we will be going today, Toy District in Downtown LA. Just east of Downtown LA, spanning from 4th Street to 6th Street and around Los Angeles Street, it is within walking distance to Downtown, Chinatown and Little Tokyo...

We take Dash bus, since long time didn't take bus already. Kind of miss the bus, no need to drive, can just relax and enjoy the scenery... hehe. Now we know LA has a few sister cities around the world, see below, and Singapore is not one of them...
I must say the people in LA are very artistic. They make use of any surface to do their art, including walls. We see quite a lot of wall paintings around as we walk, and below is by far the best. So good that there is a filming request for it...

As I say, Little Tokyo is nearby, so we drop by to eat some Japanese food. We end up eating Japanese curry rice and mee at this small "to go" outlet, though they have some seats outside for those who are not in a hurry to go. While we are there, a group of people are within range shooting a scene. They look amateur, most possibly shooting a home video or a commercial...

Katsu kale
And finally, toy district... Basically rows and rows of shops selling anything at a cheap price. From toys, clothes, bags, shoes, anything you want to buy, you can find them here, and at cheap rates. Definitely a bargain!!

By the way, you will not want to be in downtown by nightfall, as security is not so good... Lots of homeless folks make downtown as their home at night, and you will not want to run into them, with anybody around... As we are going home on the bus, we see cops arresting a man. The cops in LA face the toughest job in the country... But that is part of the job.
