Hei Bee Hiam

Winnie and Brownie says:

Today, we shall try to cook something we didn't do before nor know how to do. But in desperate times, people learn to do desperate things... We have been away for 1 month odd, and miss the Singapore spices... So we feel that it is time to cook some Hei Bee Hiam.... Yaah!!

Winnie got the recipe from her mum, and we have been shopping to get the ingredients, mostly from Chinatown. So today is the big day for the Hei Bee Hiam... and a test of our cooking skills.
Some pictures to show that we actually cook it, and it tastes delicious and wonderful, just like the actual Hei Bee Hiam...

The recipe is as follows:
- 5 tablespoon of dried shrimps
- 2-3 dried chili
- 6 garlic
- 6 onion
- 2-3 tablespoon of sugar

First, pound the dried shrimps, chili, garlic and onion.
Second, add in cooking oil and fry the garlic, till a bit golden brown.
Third, add in the onion and fry till you can smile the fragrance.
Fourth, add in shrimps and chili, and fry till you can really smell the Hei Bee.
Last, add in sugar to sweeten.
And enjoy the Hei Bee Hiam :)
